Our Journey
Yummy A Taste of New Orleans is inspired by New Orleans culture, food and spirits. Yummy Seasonings are homemade recipes handcrafted to make your taste buds shout! Yummy was founded by New Orleans natives Lorenzo Jones Sr. and Marilyn Monroe-Jones. Lorenzo is a seasoned cook for over 25 years. He has worked with some of New Orleans most well-known chefs and cooks in some of New Orleans most popular restaurants. Lorenzo and Marilyn have traveled, gained knowledge of and enjoyed food from their many travels. With their experience, knowledge and love of local cuisine in 2016 Lorenzo began crafting his own seasonings and using them in his own kitchen. Marilyn, a serial entrepreneur and with her love for business encouraged her husband to start a seasoning line. After two years of research, testing and crafting Yummy A Taste Of New Orleans was launched in 2018. The Seafood Seasoning is the signature blend. The Seafood Seasoning was followed up by the Blackening Seasoning. Yummy will launch a total of five handcrafted seasonings in 2020.

New Orleans is our home no matter where we go. We are known for our love of the city and indulging in it’s culture. We are committed to the city where we grew up, met as children, became high school sweethearts, got married and started our family. There is no other place like New Orleans, the people, the food, traditions and resilience is unmatched. Our goal is to pass on the recipes and craft to our children and keep the Jones family traditions going for many years to come. By the way, that little boy on the Yummy A Taste Of New Orleans logo is our son Dillyn. He already gets the picture, literally!
