Ingredients
- 1 pound of shrimp, cleaned, shelled
- ½ cup of all-purpose flour
- ¼ tsp of baking powder
- 1 cup of beer
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp of Yummy Blackening Seasoning
- 1 tsp of Yummy Seafood Seasoning
Preparation
- This recipe begins with the dry ingredients. In a mixing bowl, mix the flour, the baking soda, 1 tsp of Yummy Blackening Seasoning and 1 tsp of Yummy Seafood Seasoning . The combination of both will bring out the New Orleans flavors to the mix.
- Now, for the wet ingredients. Mix 1 cup of beer with the egg and olive oil, and whisk until the mix is uniform. Add a dash of Yummy Seafood Seasoning for extra flavor.
- Next, stir into flour mixture until well blended.
- For the last step, deep the shrimp into the batter to cover all the shrimp.
Cooking
- Using a medium pot, heat about 3 fingers of oil, be sure it’s very hot.
- Sink the shrimp for about 4-5 minutes each or until you see the it has turn golden brown
Serving
- A side of cocktail sauce is a perfect match
