Beer Battered Shrimp

Ingredients

 

Preparation 

  • This recipe begins with the dry ingredients. In a mixing bowl, mix the flour, the baking soda, 1 tsp of Yummy Blackening Seasoning and 1 tsp of Yummy Seafood Seasoning . The combination of both will bring out the New Orleans flavors to the mix. 
  • Now, for the wet ingredients. Mix 1 cup of beer with the egg and olive oil,  and whisk until the mix is uniform. Add a dash of Yummy Seafood Seasoning for extra flavor. 
  • Next, stir into flour mixture until well blended.
  • For the last step, deep the shrimp into the batter to cover all the shrimp. 

 

Cooking

  • Using a medium pot, heat about 3 fingers of oil, be sure it’s very hot. 
  • Sink the shrimp for about 4-5 minutes each or until you see the it has turn golden brown

 

Serving

  • A side of cocktail sauce is a perfect match
