Onion Soup

Ingredients 

  • 2 tbsp olive oil 
  • 10 oz of beef broth 
  • 4 cups sliced onions 
  • ½ cup of unsalted butter 
  • 1 tsp of Yummy Seafood Seasoning 
  • Swiss cheese 
  • Provolone cheese 
  • Parmesan cheese 
  • Sliced French bread 



Preparation 

  • In a saucepan, melt the butter, add the olive oil, and place all the sliced onions. 
  • Cook while stirring continuously for about 5 minutes until the onions are crystalized but, and this is very important, don’t let the onions brown. 
  • Pour the beef broth, and 1 tsp of Yummy Seafood Seasoning.
  • Let it simmer for 25 – 30 minutes. 

 

Bake

  • Pour the soup into oven-safe individual bowls
  • Place the French bread, either sliced or in small pieces like croutons
  • On top of the soup, place the Provolone cheese (1 slice), the Swiss cheese (1 slice) and cover with a lot of Parmesan, about 1 tbsp per bowl. 
  • Set the oven to 375°F for 15 min until the cheese is completely melted and slightly browned.
